UAE authorities have recently stated, that all hospitals will have to be accredited before 2021. The law focuses on protecting the rights of the patients and providing the premier healthcare services in the emirate. A step in this direction augurs well for the economy and further nurtures the healthcare ecosystem. Global accreditations will further boost Dubai’s leadership position as the health tourism hub in the region. Joint Commission International (JCI), the world’s largest healthcare accreditor is considered the gold standard in healthcare worldwide.
Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH), were also one of the first private hospitals in UAE to promote health tourism way back in 2006. During the review, a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated the patient satisfaction in addition to performance improvement and efficiency of the hospital. The accreditation motivates healthcare institutions to be among the best in the world which in turn proves beneficial for the patients.
Dr. Yashar Ali, CEO, Canadian Specialist Hospital commented, “We are delighted to receive the JCI certification for getting reaccredited for the 3rd time in a row. The health care sector in UAE is expanding and there is an increase in demand for quality and efficiency.
