Arabian Automobiles sees 42% growth in first quarter of 2014

Arabian Automobiles, flagship company of AW Rostamani Group and the exclusive dealer for Nissan in Dubai and Northern Emirates, has seen an unprecedented start to 2014 already, having recorded a 42% increase in sales of Nissan vehicles in the first three months of the year outperforming the UAE auto sales which saw a growth of 14% in the same period.

With a strong double digit growth, the UAE auto sales is expected in 2014 to cross the 400,000 units mark – an astonishing achievement for an economy with a relatively small population. This growth momentum follows the high achievement of 2013 when the UAE auto volume crossed the peak of 2008.

“Arabian Automobiles has driven Nissan sales in the UAE for many years and consistently produced outstanding results,” said Michel Ayat, CEO, Arabian Automobiles. “We were delighted to have contributed to the overall UAE automotive market exceeding the previous highs of last year and we fully expect to see continued growth in 2014 and sales records tumbling. Our impressive gains in the first quarter of this year are a direct reflection of the infrastructure investment made last year, the addition of people, implementation of best practices in improving internal process, full line-up of Nissan vehicles and last but not least our service excellence.”

Arabian Automobiles’ record sales follows a year of unprecedented recognition by Nissan Motor Company and prestigious organisations. Arabian Automobiles became the first family-owned company for the UAE to be inducted in the Balanced Scorecard Hall of Fame and the first distributor globally to have been awarded Nissan Motor Company’s ‘World Aftersales Progress Club’ (WAPC) for six consecutive years.

Mr. Ayat concluded: “Arabian Automobiles is recognized as a world-class operation both by Nissan Motor Company and the broader business world. We will continue to use our operational excellence to drive Nissan sales in Dubai and Northern Emirates and make a large contribution to the brand’s success across the region.”
