Foodies, cocktail lovers and wine connoisseurs are invited to discover innovative food and drink pairings at a series of events set to showcase Mallorca’s quality cuisine.
On 4 May, Mallorca’s master mixologist, Rafa Martín of Brass Club, will pair four signature cocktails with a specially tailored menu of exquisite Asian dishes prepared by the resort’s expert chefs at theSunset Sushi Lounge. Famed for his classic mixes with a twist, Rafa incorporates seasonal ingredients to create truly spectacular concoctions from cocktails and long drinks to mocktails. Each can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean and Tramuntana mountain range – a UNESCO World Heritage site.
During the second event on 18 May,Chef Igor Rodríguez will partner with the resort’s Executive Chef, Javier Soriano, to conjure up a special menu of six mouth-watering tapas dishes in the romantic setting of Es Fanals Restaurant. The chefs have won multiple awards for their tapas creations and together they promise to deliver an authentic Spanish culinary experience combined with creative flair.
The tantalizing prospect of Mediterranean cuisine fused with Peruvian gastronomy awaits guests on the evening of 15 June when Chef Irene Gutierrez Huami of Sumaq will join the resort’s chefs to offer a masterclass and six course tasting menu at the cliff-top restaurant Cap Roig.
Cap Roig will also host a special fusion of Mallorcan haute cuisine and Mediterranean classics on 25 September. Celebrated Chef Tomeu Caldentey, whose restaurant Es Molí den Bou was awarded the first Michelin star in Mallorca, will create a special epicurean experience complete with a choice of sublime wines.
