Goorder plans to disrupt the market by charging on a cheaper and more sustainable subscription basis rather than the traditional commission model
There is a new online ordering and delivery portal in town, and it is sure to please both service providers and customers alike.
Goorder is a subscription based portal which generates its income from a flat monthly rate instead of the ever-increasing controversial commission and service charges from other 3rd party aggregators. To help kick-start their digital revolution, they are currently offering a 3-month free trial for all service providers who sign up.
Current service charges from the existing portals can be anywhere up to 35 percent of the bill which places a heavy burden on service providers.
Many service providers in the U.A.E. have recently experienced a downturn due to the COVID-19 crisis and many have turned to delivery to keep their revenue flowing. However, by turning to delivery many businesses are seeing their profitability taking a hit and when this is combined with low customer footfall, some may end up closing.
‘We have seen a struggle in the market in recent times from the point of view of the small and medium size service provider, and this struggle has been happening a long time before the COVID-19 restrictions set in. For too long, other aggregators have taken advantage of providers by levying them with high commission rates and looking down on them by only concentrating on bigger brands. Our aim is to be inclusive and help every provider no matter what size they are to succeed. We do not charge a commission and we never will. Our business model is based on a monthly subscription model which will ultimately help service providers retain their sales and increase their profitability.’ says Goorder co-founder Badr Kamal.
With their versatile system, Goorder allows a diverse range of service providers to offer their service providers such as restaurants, grocery stores, florists, health and beauty providers, and many more to offer their amenities on their very own unique website.
August 1st is the due date for the launch of Goorder.com on August 1st and service providers can use it for free for the first 3 months. Customers who use the platform can also build up credit whenever they use the account and can use these credits against future orders.
