March 6-13, 2015
Dubai Knowledge Village
Dubai’s Photography Festival sees its 11th annual edition in 2015, and the event promises to be bigger and better than ever. The annual GPP event is internationally acclaimed as one of the world’s premier photography events and is the only photography festival in the Region. GPP2015 will run from March 6 to 13 and feature a host of hands-on photography workshops, practical seminars and exhibitions, as well as an expo showcasing all of the latest and greatest photography gear, exclusive offers and free events from the event partners.
The full workshop schedule is online now and bookings made before December 31, 2014 (at 23:59HR Dubai time), will avail a special Early Bird offer.
Anticipated all year long by amateurs and professional photographers alike, this truly unique, 8-day event draws over 4000 participants from the Gulf region and around the globe to learn from some of the world’s finest photographers.
The Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Centre comes alive during the event, with a buzz of energy and inspiration where photographers meet, learn and connect. Over the years, GPP has earned a reputation for providing excellent content, unparalleled talent, and the photogenic locations only Dubai can offer, creating a photography festival and educational experience like no other. The GPP instructors are chosen not only for their award winning photography skills, but also for their passion to share their talent and expertise with others.
GPP2015’s stellar line-up combines some of the industry’s most legendary names with the emerging talent that is making waves in the photography industry.
Instructing for the first time at GPP will be highly respected VII Photo Agency photojournalist, Ed Kashi. Dedicated to documenting the social and political issues that define our times, Kashi is recognized for his sensitive eye and complex imagery.
Architectural and fine art photographer, Michael Kelley will also join the GPP line up, sharing his approach to creating stunning architectural imagery that commands attention and draws the viewer in.
Also teaching at GPP for the first time will be Ryan Brenizer, one of the most in-demand wedding photographers in the world, who has also photographed high profile portraits for presidents, celebrities and the Pope, and even invented and popularized his own photographing technique, “The Brenizer Method”.
GPP2015’s roster of celebrity snappers will also include popular returning instructors and familiar names in the industry; National Geographic shooter Joe McNally, commercial photographer Joel Grimes, headshot aficionado Peter Hurley, fashion photog Lindsay Adler, one of “The Photoshop Guys” RC Concepcon, and David “The Strobist” Hobby, who will all share their technical mastery with the students.
These and additional specialist photographers leading the event – including GPP regulars Zack Arias, Sara Lando and David Nightingale – will provide a program of master classes, workshops, seminars and photo shoots covering portraiture, conceptual and fine art photography, landscape and street photography, studio lighting, commercial photography, documentary, editorial and fashion photography.
